The Kankakee County Health Department has a referral partnership with the Illinois Tobacco Quitline to provide community members with free access to cessation counselling and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) for those who may be elligible. This partnership is made possible by funds recieved from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In the summer and fall of 2025, Riverside Health Care will be hosting Smoking Cessation Programs at the Orthopedic and Spine Center.
